A day of slack.

Well, not really. Hit the massive grocery store, which I'm now suspecting is a Walmart of sort..

Rows of odd bits of clothing, some nice bedding. Then the grocery. Had to buy the girls a soccer ball (bright pink) add in a couple boxes of cereal, biscuits, fruit and assorted crap I had 4 huge bags of groceries to cart home on the bus. Thank goodness the bus stops right across the street from our house. I learned my lesson from last time. Buy beer local.

Pried the girls off the couch with pure bribery of ice cream. Mom I and the girls took the bus down to Richmond past the stop we went last time. Hopped off and before we knew it the girls had spotted McDonalds. :(

After lunch and a cruise around a shoe store- Mom was looking for Toms striped espadrilles-too cute but not found in her size. Found some sticker books the girls have been fascinated with. Hoofed it to the park where the girls played soccer and being such wallflowers only made three new friends.

Thats P in between a picnicking couple retrieving the ball. As we were sitting there a huge plume of smoke rose over the far end of the park. No one seemed pulsed so we "kept calm and carried on". When we made our way back to catch the bus all roads were blocked. A cafe had caught fire and there were at least 6 police cars, 3 fire engines and ambulances. Of course we stopped to take pictures.

And karma rewarded us with a mile trek to the bus stop and a 30 minute wait for the street to be cleared and the buses to start up.

Jen returned from a trip to Buckingham palace and Westminster. 25£ lighter. She had risotto for lunch- mmm..so sad for our Mickey D lunch.

Mom offered to cook, she promptly set off the fire alarm -pretty sure she did it on purpose so we won't ask her to cook again (turnip IQ my butt).

The girls are wrapped up in their sticker books and P is still in the tub.

Tomorrow we're off to the unicorn theatre for a student production. And Thursday we're picking up Betta's baby Paoulo our Italian cousin for dinner. He's in London for a language course. So far we know he's gotten in trouble for wearing some sort of obscene shirt to a church. Should be another grand adventure.

Love and kisses,
Sarah
